Editorial Policy
International Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinical Research Study (IJOCRS) uses double-blind peer review process. When a manuscript is submitted to the journal, it is assigned to the Editor-in-Chief, who performs initial screening. Manuscripts that do not fit the journal’s scope or are not deemed suitable for publication are rejected without review. The Editor-in-Chief allocates each of the remaining manuscripts to an Editor, who handles peer review process. The Editor selects two appropriate reviewers to provide their assessment of the manuscript. Reviewers are selected based on their expertise, reputation and previous experience as peer reviewers. IJOCRS journal is guided by COPE Guidelines, ensuring integrity and ethical standards in our editorial processes. However, we also prioritize our existing policies and principles, which encompass a commitment to academic rigor, fairness, and transparency.
The peer review process can be broadly summarized into following steps, although these steps can vary slightly between journals. Manuscript Submission to IJOCRS
The corresponding or submitting author submits the Manuscript to the IJOCRS.
This is usually via an online submission and editor mail id: editor@ijocrs.com
Occasionally, IJOCRS may accept submissions by E-mail: editor@ijocrs.com
Reviewers should be experts in their fields and should be able to provide an objective assessment of the manuscript.
Our policy is that reviewers should not be assigned to manuscript if:
1. Managing the peer review process to ensure manuscripts progress smoothly through peer review. This involves providing reviewers with all the information they need, to guarantee authors receive a review that improves the quality of their manuscript.
2. Editing, proofreading and reformatting manuscripts to ensure they are finished to a high quality and conform to the journal style.
3. Compiling issues, making sure they are delivered on time and to the highest standard.
4. Providing assistance with submissions and handling queries and problems.
5. The reviewer is based at the same institution as any of the co-authors.
6. The reviewer is based at the funding body of manuscript.
7. The reviewer has provided a personal (e.g. G-Mail/Yahoo/Hotmail) E-mail account and an institutional E-mail account cannot be found after performing a basic Google search (Name, Department and Institution).
